Dr. Chunyan Wang

Dr. Chunyan Wang is a Licensed Florida Acupuncture Physician and a National Board-Certified Practitioner of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She received her medical training at EastWest College of Natural Medicine. Dr. Wang completed her residency program at East West College of Medicine clinic. She also trained and certified in Acupuncture Injection Therapy, Advanced low Energy

Laser Therapy, Flat Head Needle Acupuncture Therapy, Auricular Medicine, Scalp Acupuncture. Dr. Wang completed her PhD in Chemistry and have been working on implantable glucose sensors, targeted drug delivery for cancer therapy for eight years. She published 19 high impact factor papers, 8 patents and 4 books.

Dr. Wang has success treating all types of illness and diseases, and has special interests in pain, after stroke recover, neurological diseases, internal disease, and gynecology dieses. Dr. Wang has her own acupuncture clinic in Tampa, Pain Free Acupuncture, LLC. Website: painfreeacu.org.

Dr. Brian Caswell - Academic Dean

Dr. Brian Caswell is an Acupuncture Physician here in the state of Florida and received his Master’s Degree in Classical Chinese Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, North Carolina in 2014. Dr. Caswell had the privilege to study with Master Jeffrey Yuen, an 88th-generation Daoist priest, from the Jade Purity Traditions during his time at Daoist Traditions.

 

Dr. Caswell is nationally certified in Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed to practice in Florida. Dr. Caswell has maintained a busy practice in St. Petersburg since 2014 specializing in pain, autoimmune and digestive disorders, mental-emotional conditions, and trauma. Since 2014, he has lectured, consulted, and taught workshops on Chinese and Functional

Medicine as well as been awarded Southwest Florida’s Best of the Bay, “Best Acupuncturist” in 2016, 2017, and 2019. 

 

Dr. Caswell is also in private practice located in St. Petersburg at Dr. B’s Wellness Clinic.

Robert Hayden, DACM, LAc -Chief Academic Officer

Robert Hayden, DACM, LAc, has been a practicing acupuncturist since 1995. He taught Chinese Medicine at five different accredited schools across the country before coming to East West College of Natural Medicine. He completed his doctorate at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is a longtime contributor to the North American Journal of Oriental Medicine, and writes weekly for Clinical Mulch, a new media publication for advanced

acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine practitioners.

Dr. Robert Hayden has been appointed as the Academic Dean and Liaison for East West College of Natural Medicine. Throughout his career, Dr. Hayden has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership and dedication. He served as both a program director and clinic director at a TCM school for over a decade, in addition to being a leading instructor and site visitor. For more than two years, he has served as the lead instructor and chief academic officer at EWCNM.

Dr. Hayden’s commitment to fostering collaboration, along with his distinguished reputation in the TCM community, highlights his professionalism and expertise. We are grateful for his willingness to take on this role during a challenging time for the school, ensuring continued strong communication and leadership for the betterment of EWCNM.

Dr. Wilfredo Morges

Dr. Wilfredo Morges is an accomplished medical professional with expertise in both medicine and nursing. He obtained his medical degree from St. Matthew's University, School of Medicine, and further expanded his knowledge and skills by earning a Master's in Nursing. With a passion for education, Dr. Morges has been serving as a respected biomedical sciences professor in schools of Acupuncture since 2010. He is dedicated to imparting his vast knowledge and experience to aspiring healthcare professionals, shaping the next generation of experts in the field.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Morges actively contributes to the mental health and psychiatry field. He serves as a specialist, catering to the needs of the outpatient population, providing compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals dealing with various mental health conditions. Furthermore, Dr. Morges extends his expertise to nursing homes, where he delivers exceptional psychiatric care, ensuring the well-being of elderly residents.

Dr. Wilfredo Morges's commitment to his patients and students is evident through his unwavering dedication and the positive impact he creates in the medical community. His deep understanding of biomedical sciences, coupled with his extensive clinical experience, allows him to provide exceptional healthcare and contribute significantly to the field of mental health.

Dr. Shang H LiWong (Sonia) 

From a TCM family, graduated from Sun- yat Sen university , (GuangZhou , China. ) Director of internship in Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, in TCM field, speciality: foundational Chinese medicine , and herbal teaching, use classical formulas from Shan Han lun-six stages ,  (cold damage) in today’s modern TCM.

Dr. Ramesh Matcha

Dr. Ramesh Matcha is a dedicated and dignified academic professor with more than 20 years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students. He is an expert in biology, Anatomy & physiology, genomics, public health, and biochemistry. Dr.Matcha has a diverse background in both clinical practice and teaching, and he has

made significant contributions to the field of medical education.

 

In pursuit of further knowledge and specialization, Dr. Matcha obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biology from Grand Canyon University. He later pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Westcoast University, focusing on public health strategies and practices.

Dr. Ramesh Matcha's educational qualifications and clinical experience, coupled with his extensive teaching experience, make him a highly qualified and respected professor in the medical field. He possesses a strong foundation in biology, anatomy & physiology, and other related subjects, which allows him to impart comprehensive knowledge to his students. With his expertise and passion for teaching, Dr. Matcha continues to inspire and guide future healthcare professionals, contributing to the advancement of medical education and research.

Dr. David Park

Dravid M Park grown up under Korean acupuncture and herbal culture since teenager in South Korea. He has been interesting evidence base acupuncture treatment throughout TCM, Tungs, and Saam Acupuncture (a Korean acupuncture)

He has a diagnostic image background in the US like X-ray, MRI and Ultrasound. He has a LAc in California, NCCAOM Certification and Florida Acupuncture Physician License. Dr. Park enjoys community service two times per year to make a familiar public with acupuncture treatment effects.

Dr. Shang Liang

Dr. Shan Liang A.P., is a Florida licensed Acupuncture Physician and has received Diplomat status both in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology from the NCCAOM. He graduated as a M.D. after five years of medical training at Shandong's University of Medicine. He practiced medicine at Qian Fu Shan General Hospital where both Western and Chinese Medicine were integrated in the treatment of patients. Dr. Liang has been practicing and teaching TCM in the U.S. since 1992. He specializes in treating neurological and immune deficiency disorders with complimentary medical and TCM approaches. He provides continuing education courses for acupuncturists and has given educational presentations at the University of South Florida and Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, FL. He has had personal training from Li Chun Huang, renown auricular specialist and Zhaohao Wang, M.D. author of Practical Neuromuscular Acupuncture. Dr. Liang's grasp of integrative medical approaches combined with his TCM knowledge and teaching style have made him a highly reputable instructor and physician in the field of TCM.

Dr. Hailin Wu - Vice President

Dr. Hailin Wu, PhD, MD (China), DAOM, A.P., is a specialist in health issues related to women. She received her medical degree (M.D.) from China, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BSN), Master of Science (M.S.), Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (D.A.O.M.), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from US. She was trained in both oriental medicine and western medicine and has over thirty years of medical clinical practice as well as teaching and research experience from prestigious hospitals in China and the US.

 

Dr. Wu specializes in Women's Health with TCM, as well as western medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology. She has been able to integrate medicine and, in the process, has successfully treated over a thousand patients. Dr. Wu's other health specialties include infertility, OB/GYN, pain management, cancer, and TCM prevention. In China she is a gynecological and obstetrics surgeon who has performed thousands of surgeries.

Dr. Wu is currently the Vice President at East West College of Natural Medicine (EWCNM). She held the position of Professor, Director, Dean at College and University, where she taught classes in both TCM and Western medicine. Dr. Wu has published several papers and books, including Acupuncture and The Gynecology/Obstetrics in TCM Preventive Medicine; Advancements in Teaching Anatomy and Neurobiology in an Integrated Medical Curriculum in the 21st Century and Milestones in the Pedagogy of Anatomy instruction in medical and Graduated Education.

Dr. Yoseph Feleke - Campus Director

Dr. Yoseph Feleke, PhD MD (China), DACM, BSN, AP., is a distinguished Acupuncture Physician and professor with over 30 years of experience in integrated medicine. With a comprehensive background in both Western and Chinese medicine, Dr. Feleke combines clinical expertise, academic leadership, and a lifelong dedication to patient care and medical innovation.

Dr. Feleke began their medical journey with 10 years of intensive study in China, earning both a Doctor of Medicine from Shanghai Medical University and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Moxibustion from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine—two of the most prestigious institutions in the country. This dual foundation in Western biomedical sciences and traditional Chinese practices informs a truly holistic approach to healthcare.

In the United States, Dr. Feleke continued their education at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, earning a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and Nutrition. They also completed advanced medical training through the USMLE preparation program at Rush Presbyterian Medical College and the Chicago Area Health Medical Career Program.

As a Professor and Clinical Supervisor at both Acupuncture and Massage College in Miami, Florida, and the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Feleke has mentored countless students. At MCOM, they played a central role in developing the Doctoral Program in Oriental Medicine, serving as program advisors, curriculum consultants, and Director of the Midwest Research Department. Their academic contributions include numerous published research articles and leadership in advancing the field of integrative healthcare education.

Beyond teaching and clinical practice, Dr. Feleke has held leadership roles in healthcare program development. As directors of an integrated community health clinic, they guided executive teams in launching innovative services, including a clinical research center focused on underserved populations. This work led to the establishment of Illinois’ first doctoral-level program in Oriental Medicine.

Dr. Feleke has also served as a trusted consultant for government bodies, local institutions, and corporations on key global health initiatives, lending expertise in strategic planning, health policy, and cross-cultural medicine.

With an unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and public health, Dr. Feleke continues to shape the future of integrative medicine through clinical service, teaching, research, and advocacy.
