However, acupuncture is not the only tool available in Chinese medicine for effective treatment of pain. Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) is an important modality in the management of pain syndromes, whether as an adjunct to support a regular course of acupuncture therapy, or as a primary clinical approach. In addition, the growing field of telehealth is well-suited to the practice of Chinese herbal medicine, enabling the practitioner to extend care to potential clients beyond the local region of the clinic.
